On October 30, you will present about a topic of your choice that you find relevant to understand Ferrante’s Neapolitan Novels. In preparing your presentation, make sure that you include this elements:
- your reason for choosing the topic and an introduction to the topic (i.e., your motive)
- what other people/scholars have said about the topic
- your position vis-a-vis existing interpretations
- direct quotations from the text
- other novels/poems/visual art that deal with the same issue
- how you intend to pursue your research in the future
Your presentation should be 10-minute long. You can use a handout or a PowerPoint. The presentations will be given in panels of three or four students and will mimic a conference. Every panel will be have a moderator and will be followed by Q&A. Each student will ask at least one question to one or more speakers.
Each of you will be taking notes in the rubric this rubric. During the next class you will individual feedback to other students and we’ll reflect on this experience.
